Incoming Mail Week #22 - Friday

My little brother just started his summer vacation and turned 19 :) Which means me and mum spent the morning baking (surprisingly enough the cake and the cupcakes seem edible :DD)

And I got 2 postcards via postcrossing :) While yesterday's cards were from Germany, today
I got the cards from Netherlands :)

The Witch from "Hansel and Gretel"

This year's EUROPA stamp :3

And tulips :)

Mailman + Incoming Mail Week #22 - Thursday

I've come to the conclusion that something has happened to our mailwoman :(
The mail has come extra late this week - never before has it come after noon and this week it has come during the afternoon.. :/ What has happened?? D:

AND. Today when I went to pick up the mail one of the postcrossing cards was laying on the ground. It was windy so if I would have taken even 5 minutes longer the postcard could have disappeared..
Seriously? Are the postcrossers and pen pallers only ones who understand the value of mail?!?
If you're supposed to put the mail in the mail boxes could you make sure that everything goes into that box?!? :(

So yeah, I was a bit upset about this.. Wonder how many postcards have disappeared thanks to this :(

This adorable bird card almost disappeared!! :(
From Germany via postcrossing

Coffee card :3 from Germany via postcrossing - there was less than 150 numbers between these IDs :DD

Love the stamp on the righ :3

Photoshoot + Stuff + Incoming Mail Week #22 - Wednesday

Yesterday I didn't get any mail but I did manage to finish my moving and brought the last things with me to my parents' place :) I also spent the day with mum in Porvoo! We went to this secondhand store I didn't know of and I met an old classmate or mine - haven't seen her since I was 14 or 15 and we were almost neighbours this year!! We went through all the flea markets, talked about stamps/mail (she's not interested but I still told her about the upcoming rise in postage prices and about the new EUROPA stamps - she on the other hand told me how the post bus worked when she was little), went to eat sushi, bought postcards (I got 2,5€ from her and bought 5 Moomin cards - there is this lovely store "Sadunhenki" in Old Porvoo where Moomin cards are cheap even though there's the price tag of 1,2€ printed to the back of the card :3 The owner is SO nice as well :) She's always up for a chat! ^^) and went through all the small boutiques in Old Town (I found SO many things I want to buy - for example a box that looks like a HUGE book!! I seriously need to spend 20€ to get at least one of those!!).

One of these

And two of these :)

Today I helped mum outside in her garden and took a 2 hour long nap (5-7pm) due to a horrible head ache - thanks Kim for waking me up ;)

Kifia posted the pictures of our shoot yesterday. Too bad she didn't choose to edit that many of my personal favourites so I'm only posting 4 of the 10 photos she published~ Check her blog to see the rest of them ;)

She clearly doesn't really like when I have my mouth open/"pepsodent" smile ;)

Today's mail came really late - I went to check the mail twice and got nothing and as our neighbour had some mail in her post box so I gave up (we have 2 neighbours and as we live in the middle of nowhere - next houses are 1-3km away from our mailboxes which is why we don't have locks on our mail boxes.. :)). After 9pm my dad went to put some envelopes and such to the mail box (we live in the middle of nowhere so we get to send mail from our own mailbox - we have this small badge we put on and the mailman/woman takes the mail and sends it forward - love how it works so I don't have to cycle 6km one way to the nearest box to send my letters and postcards :))

Postcrossing card from Japan :)
"Lolo and Lulu" :)

Anime stamp :)

Amazing card from Amit :)

LOVE the polarbear stamp!

And a private swap with Nathalie :)
Thank you!

Stuff + Incoming Mail Week #22 - Monday

Skip to the end for the mail update~
Weekend was nice as I was doing the final packing - I'll be going to my apartment tomorrow to clean up and then I get to give up the keys!! ^^
On Saturday me and Kifia went to have a photoshoot after MONTHS - last one was in August before she moved away. The best part of it was that I had no idea what the shoot was going to be about - I only asked about whether I need my wigs/clothes during it and what kind of a bra would be best (with or without straps). And on Saturday she returned my favourite (and first) brown wig and brought her shoes and a sailor dress and told me to dress up and put on the make up. The dressing up and shoot took about 2,5 hours in total (most time took the make up as I hadn't put on fake lashes since February and there was actually something wrong with the other lash - couldn't blink after the first time I put it on - it ended me being in tears and ripping it off just to put it on again....).

As she hasn't yet edited or published any of the photos I'll also just show some previews of what the photos were like (okay, I've used one of the unedited photos as my profile pics in twitter and postcrossing and one not that great photo was published in twitter but that's it). I just got to say that this is probably my favourite shoot to date. LOVED it. :D Even though it was a bit awkward to have people staring at you as it was a bit cloudy and we went to shoot around the riverside of Porvoo - loads of people and tourists......

On Sunday on the other hand I was more or less sick and just laid in bed all day complaining that I felt like shit - and as usually no one believed me until I managed to get up and looked like I was dying - sorry for anyone with whom I talked yesterday. I didn't feel that well and every bad thing felt million times worse..

Here's a blurry picture of my current cosplay project that I started yesterday and ended up with black paint all over my fingers - blue beads to black~:

But now to the mail~

Moomin/Wishlist tag from Russia

GORGEOUS postcrossing card from Russia
And a long letter from Germany with a photo of her Moomin DVD collection :D Guess who's jealous! :D

Outgoing Mail Week #21

As you might have noticed there was no outgoing mail last week due to my move (I'm still moving), it was the last week of school before my summer vacation - still can't believe I have summer vacation!! and my dad had his birthday last Sunday so I spent the weekend outside helping my parents with my mum's garden, watched ice hockey with daddy (too bad Sweden won instead of Switzerland!! :( They would've deserved the gold medal!) and realized that apart from my Portuguese friend I might have been the only one of my European friends who didn't watch Eurovision at all but I knew everything that happened thanks to second by second tweets and facebook updates.. And let's not even talk about how *WELL* Finland did.. ;)

OH! And the postcrossing card I sent to Taiwan (3rd time) finally arrived 115 days after I got the address. And I just LOVE the thank you message she sent me...

"Thank you for senting me three cards. The reoson I didn't regist, is that I can't find you.Do you know what I mean?""

No, I don't know what you mean because there has every time been the right ID number and my postcrossing profile name. (I have photos of the other sides of the cards so I have no idea why there has been a problem to register the card if she has received all of those -__-).

Incoming Mail Week #21 - Friday

After 7 hours of sleep per night Friday was the hardest day to get up around 6am (dad starts his work 50kms away between 7 and 8am so we need to leave early as he's dropping me off as well). I fell down the stairs, almost forgot my tea and didn't eat at all during the day (got home around 6pm). Can't wait for Sunday and Monday and finally try to settle down at my parents' place before going to clean up on Tuesday and giving up the whole apartment :) Maybe after that I can stop waking up between 4 and 6am.. And the funny thing is that I'm NEVER up that early during school days.. But during vacations - no problem! :)

Got 2 postcrossing cards and a small note on Friday :)

Handmade (stickers and an empty card base) from Germany

Jip en Janneke card from Netherlands - don't know what happened but it arrived without stamp :O
