Stuff from the weekend :3

As promised~ :) Too bad my camera is dying little by little (that's why some of the photos are really blurry no matter how many times I took a new one :() :( I need a new phone AND camera (both are nearly 5 years old :( ))

"Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story...

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.

So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.

When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn’t expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’s never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.

And she, for whatever reason, spares his life."

Apparently Anna Dressed In Blood (Anna Korlov) was a daughter of Finnish immigrants (yay! But the name is more Russian than Finnish..) and she was killed in 1958 - when she was on her way to a school dance. When she was found the next day the white dress on her has turned red from her blood (her throat was cut from ear to ear). Since her death she has killed 27 teenagers (that people know of).
The first family that moved to the house was brutally killed and the walls were paint with their blood - "Anna taloni"[sic]. Anna's house.  ~ In Finnish "Anna's House" would be "Annan talo". "Anna taloni" on the other hand means "Give (me) my house".

  1. Hey Lily! I've just finished Entangled. Overall I think it was average, I'm giving it 3.9 out of 5. :D The author was really good at keeping the readers' eyes glued onto the pages, just to find out what's happening next. I have to admit that I cheated a bit too :D I stole a few glances at the last few pages after I finish Day 26 as I was over anxious to know the truth. The ending was not something I've expected (it's disappointing). The readers have to ponder on more about what might happen after that. :| But I think you should really finish the book! Then we can share what we think might happen to Grace later.

    1. Thanks for letting me know! :) It has been on my "currently reading" list since December and somehow I got bored after she met the guy (can't remember which day it was) so I stopped reading.. I think I'll start that one after I've finished Anna Dressed In Blood :DD I'll let you know when I'm done with it~ :DD
