My baby came back!

My little kitty (apparently he's 3yo and not 4.. Where did that extra year come from?) had been away for one week before he walked in yesterday morning and started eating like there's no tomorrow. I was so relieved to see him again and last night he slept next to me from 10pm to 1.30am (I wake really easily during the nights so as he was moving next to me, wanting me to pet him, I woke up and it took a while before I fell asleep again.

I had 2 days off and now I'm getting back to work (yay~ D:) but at least I'll be getting money next Monday :3 I can finally get us a new PS2 controller as the old one doesn't work that well anymore :(

I managed to write a bit during the days - even sent some mail on Friday~ And I finished Mana Khemia so it won't be taking my time from the letters anymore >3<

Received on Friday~

Envelope from my Chinese postcard pal~

Adorable panda card, card from her trip to Hong Kong and used Chinese stamps for my collections! :3

Postcards from Philippines and New Zealand and letters from Germany (one stamp cut out as it wasn't marked - I'll be sending it back to the same pal so that he can use it again :)) and Sri Lanka
What did I manage to send and write?

Sent ones - one letter sheets swap, one envelope full of postcards, 2 letters and 2 postcards
Written during yesterday (I was lazy and am still writing a 3rd letter I started yesterday) - both to Europe
That's it for now, I need to get ready to leave soon :( Hopefully the day goes by as fast as my day offs did!

Hello World!

I've been tired lately which is one of the reasons I rather stay away from the laptop (at least blogger and such) and read books or talk on the phone with friends..
I haven't been writing much nor have I been really reading the letters I've received (this morning being an exception as I needed to spend 2 hours in a village before work started - so I took some letters with me and walked around reading those :) It was awesome as the sun was shining (later it has been raining a LOT).

I have received some mail this week - today I received some photos I had ordered but that was it. Monday and Tuesday were a lot better mail days and I managed to send some mail out on Tuesday :)

Sent postcards

Sent letters and swaps

Some stamps - to Europe

to Europe

Europe and North America

letters and a postcard to North America - my handmade envelopes :3

Some books I've gotten<3 Starting "Second Chance Summer" as soon as I finish my "reading" list

My bookshelf (also tea, CDs and other stuff :3)

My precious<3 I LOVE Alice in the country of heart/clover by QuinRose!! READ THOSE if you like manga (and/or Alice in Wonderland)!!

Monday's mail - 3 postcards, 2 letters and 2 swaps (2 teas and 3 postcards)

On Monday I also got a thank you package as I ordered Avotakka (a magazine) to my mom - MAKE UP! lipstick, powder, mascara and something (I have no idea what it is and I just put it to my make up bag) :DDDDD

The lipstick - nice colour but I'm never gonna use it (or so I believe)
Tuesday's mail - a Jetoy package (30 stickers and 30 note cards) and 4 postcards (USA, Finland and Australia)
Letter to North America

3 Swap postcards I got and a drawing/painting that came with the tea swap (Queen of Hearts<3)
Yesterday I was expecting to be working with a group from Czech Republic but when they came the group leader spoke only a bit English and when the others came in after him I  realized they weren't from Czech - "Bonjour" - my reaction was mostly "OH CRAP!", why? Because all I know in French are "Bonjour", "Merci", "S'il vous plaît" and "Au revoir" SO not much. Never even studied the language and there's NO way I'm trying to even pronounce the words as I KNOW I can't do it. So it was more or less communicating with my hands than words :) Thank GOD there was a guy in about his 30s and he was working as an interpreter between me and the group of 40. It was absolutely amazing and I have to say that I'd rather work with a HUGE group of French than with one grumpy Finn. No matter what all of the French were smiling and talking to me even though there was the language barrier. COME BACK SOON~!!! (Today was terrible and I met many grumpy grandmas - NOTHING was good - "I need an expert with this! A summer worker isn't an expert" - well sorry lady but there's a customer from Sweden buying things with over 1000€ while you're bitching about a product worth less than 13€ - MAYBE the better employer works with the Swede rather than with you. She even threatened to go elsewhere but as I told her it's okay if she does it she left but staid in the area until J was free.....)

Yesterday I took some photos before I went to work~ I love the summer of Finland! ^^

And tomorrow... LETTERS!!! ^^

Liebster Award

Thanks to  for tagging me! I've seen this award going around for a few days and in a way I was surprised I actually did receive it from one of my favourite writers - Aliaa.
What is This??

The Liebster Blog Award is given to upcoming bloggers who have 200 followers or less.
The word Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

Here's the Rules:

1. Each person must post 11 random facts about themselves
2. Answer 11 questions the tagger has given you and give 11 questions for the people you tagged
3. Choose 11 people and link them in your post
4. Tell them you've tagged them
. Remember, no tag backs!
Alright, here goes:
My Random 11 Facts:
1- I've been fighting with depression since I was 14.
2- I'm impatient and can't stand people who are ALWAYS late.
3- I hoard letter supplies (and now even books) like my life depends on it.
4- I've always had a great relationship with my little brother - we've had same interests since 1998!
5- I love travelling alone or with a good friend
6- It's been over a year since I was caught up with my mail!
7- I wouldn't be able to live without tea anymore.
8- I can't stand horror in any way - still I want to read at least a couple of horror books sooner or later
9- I hate deadlines more than anything
10- I actually can't stand the weather in Finland, I'd love to live somewhere else (where cherry trees do bloom!)
11- I really want to buy a plant the next time I'm moving - I've even murdered 3 cacti!
Questions from Aliaa:

1- What's your most embarrassing moment?
Can't pinpoint to anything special but I get embarrassed whenever I start to stutter like mad (happens mostly when I'm tired), when I open my mouth without thinking and something TOTALLY different than what I was "planning" to say comes out. These usually cause some embarrassment on my behalf, especially since I'm a bit of an introvert and I hate every moment I'm embarrassing myself (even if others don't see it that way)
2- Have you ever
Have I ever what? :)
3- Which book heroine would you like to switch places with?
I have 2 heroines I'd REALLY love to switch places with! - Jane from Jane Eyre (I loved the book when I read it 6 years ago and I really related to her!) and London from Cat Patrick's "Forgotten" (some things would be better forgotten and remembering the future would be interesting!).
4- What's your favorite midnight snack?
Anything sweet if possible, when I can't find sweets or cookies I usually tend to eat cheese or fruits. :) Banana, apple, peach.. almost everything goes :)
5- Girl's night out or girl's night in?
Girl's night in - I'm an introvert and I prefer staying inside with the people I know than go out and may meet people I don't know but my friends do. :) Besides, watching a movie or a tv-show with chips, sweets etc is great! :)
6- Which book can you never stop reading?
My taste in books has changed a lot during the last years and right now I have books I can read twice or more but if asked I can quit reading those.. But when I was in 3rd-6th grade I LOVED Thomas Brezina's "Penny"-series (Sieben Pfoten für Penny) and by now 28 of 37 books have been translated. I think I read the first 12 of those again and again during those years and I even had 3 of those :)
7- When did you start blogging?
In April 2010, during the time I should've been studying for my matriculation/entrance exams. My mom threatened me and told me I wouldn't be allowed to write letters before the exams were over so I started a blog and that's how it all began. During 2010 I went to a private boarding school and while I was in there I just continued writing (barely in some points) and I haven't stopped since! :) Wish I just knew what my blog is about!

8- When did your addiction to books start?
After I learned to read. I think I started hoarding books in Finnish when I was 9 or 10 and my collection grew FAST (I was part of a horse book club - Pollux and got at least 2 new books a month. To English books my addiction started a couple of years ago - 2007 I think. We went to UK with my family and I tried to hoard as many Doctor Who books as possible. From that time forward I've only bought books in English. This year I've already bought (at least) 12 books!
9- Family or best friends?
This time I'd actually have to admit that my best friend. She's been there for me since my depression started and we've been through a lot. Even though we fight a lot (mostly thanks to me) I'd be devastated if we wouldn't be able to call and text daily about LIFE. :)
10- If you could live anywhere in the worlds (existing and fictional) where would you live?
In a big city with a big park. I want to be able to go somewhere to get away from the city life but on the other hand I LOVE being in a big city and walk around the streets and alleys.
11- Can you live without blogging?
Not anymore. I'm addicted and I check the blogger at least once a day to read blog posts from at least 50 people I follow.

Blogs I am tagging:

1- Kimmy
2- Cresu
3- Pilvi
4. Aya
5. Raven
6. X
7. Joonas
My questions:

1. When did you start your favourite hobby and what is it?
2. Have you ever wanted to change one of your decisions you've made during your life? What?
3. You're addicted to...?
4. One book everyone should read, why?
5. If possible where would you travel to right NOW?
6. One thing you can't stand?
7. Favourite memory?
8. What do you dislike/hate about yourself?
9. What is the craziest thing you've ever done?
10. If you could only save one person from your family, who would it be?
11. One book you can't stand or think is overrated?

Why So Quiet?

I've been offline for a while now (visited facebook and my e-mails the first thing in the morning and then closed my laptops for the rest of the day) and why's this? Well one reason could be the fact that it was Midsummer - I spent it with my family plus my brother's friend. I had fun while we were talking, we played videogames (only the final boss left on Mana Khemia <3) and spent time. Other reasons are migraine attacks and the fact that my cat has once again gone missing - the last time I saw him was on Thursday :(

So I really haven't been writing a thing - not even postcards during this weekend and I think I'll spend my next day off (Monday) mostly sleeping as I have work today but I'm still feeling quite worn out and had to take aspirin just to get out of the bed :(

But I've been having an okay mail week - tea, postcards, a couple of packages from my pals etc~ :)

Monday's mail - 2 letters (Netherlands and South Korea) and a tea package (USA)

I FINALLY got one of the bonsai stamps!! :3

Adorable envelope as always :)

Beautiful mail art!!

The teas~

Only Pickwick was familiar to me :)

On Thursday:
Packages from Finland and USA, letters from USA and a postcard from South Korea

Stamps from my Finnish friend - she was interrailing in Italy and Switzerland and bought me some unused stamps from Italy, Vatican and Switzerland<3

2 new official stamps for me and she used some stamps she has made of her dog (It's possible in Finland<3) :3

A pendant she sent me<3

And these frigging awesome earrings!!! :DD
That's what I got this week and I think I'll start writing some letters and postcards today unless the migraine hits me again :/

Next Cosplay~

I fell in love with the wig and I can't wait to cosplay!! <3 Why does the next convention have to be in the middle of July?????? D: I want to cosplay NOW! I'm on the phone with Kim in all of those pics so that's why my crappy phone is in every pic and my hand is weird :DD

Bet some of you already know my next cosplay thanks to these photos? :) (and no, the costume hasn't been started yet and the wig needs to be styled a bit :))

And I'm seriously thinking 'bout starting to wear wigs daily as my own hair is crappy (and this way I wouldn't have to kill dye my hair anymore :) But then I'd visit eBay at least once a week while looking for the next perfect wig for myself :3

DFTBA - Don't Forget To Be Awesome

I love all of my friends and I can't even express how grateful I am to know all of them. I love my penpals, childhood friends, friends I'm in touch/meet with once or twice a year, cosplay friends and everyone else I know. I love exchanging ideas and feelings with letters, sending text messages, chatting in facebook chats and talking on the phone no matter what I say or how I sound. Thank you girls (and boys) and please stay as awesome as you are! I love hearing from you no matter what's happening in my life :)

Have a great summer (and midsummer) everyone! :)
